July 2016 Seminar Series to feature an exciting speaker lineup and industry hot topics
Brand New Texworld USA Industry Boot Camps make debut with 3 days of in-depth educational sessions
With the July 2016 editions of Home Textiles Sourcing Expo and Texworld USA just around the corner, Messe Frankfurt and Lenzing Innovation are pleased to announce the seminar speaker line up for the July 2016 Seminar Series. Focusing on discussions around industry hot topics like sustainability, color and home trends, sourcing and trade, social media and new fiber technology, the July 2016 Seminar Series promises to be the most comprehensive educational program in Texworld USA's 10 year history.
"Tricia Carey and the entire Lenzing Fibers team has once again curated a truly top-notch educational series for our attendees," said Jennifer Bacon, Show Director. "This July's sessions are focused on important, timely industry topics -- from sustainability to social media and new fiber technology to color trends, there’s something for everyone."
July 2016 Seminar Series highlights include:
Home: At a Crossroads for Color + Design for the Home in 2017 With the consumer's constant desire to see something new continuing to influence color and design trends, the question becomes what path will best drive success and consumer satisfaction? As color choices are so closely tied to personal expression, the answer is in developing the ability to better assess and gauge client aspirations and lifestyle needs so that you can encourage the use of invigorated color/design palettes that will persuade, engage, enlist, and enable new directions.
Turning In Circles: Home & Lifestyle Trends 2017
The circle is a potent social symbol of inclusiveness and togetherness; of a universal vision on our planet and our milky ways of life. The rounder edge of materials will deliver design for a softer and more harmonious interior and the round shapes of lighting will be emanating in a softer fashion, as if they possess an aura. Form will be further pushed to a perfected sphere with round tables, round stools and round carpets. In the process, legs will be turned, ceramics thrown and structures bended to abide by the rule of the round, confirming the remarkable return of the decorative arts. The result is a circular lifestyle forecast, which has no beginning and no end and can be turned round and round for inspiration in creation, colors and textiles.
The Era of Transparency
With a couple of key retailers leading the way, supply chain standards that attest to product purity, fair labor and environmental responsibility are poised to become consumer facing. This session will examine what’s driving the shift, who’s on the leading edge and why it's taken so long to get there.
Made in NYC
There couldn’t be a resurgence in Made in America without including New York City. This seminar will discuss what is being accomplished by organizations and companies that are part of the Made in NYC revival, including the Council of Fashion Designers of America, Manufacture New York and Werktatt.
As always, all July 2016 Seminar Series sessions are complimentary for all registered Home Textiles Sourcing Expo, Texworld USA, and Apparelsourcing USA and showgoers. Seating is available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
The Summer 2016 editions of Home Textiles Sourcing Expo and Texworld USA will also feature the debut the brand new Texworld USA Industry Boot Camps. Organized by Lenzing Innovation, this brand new educational series has been designed to provide attendees at all levels of the industry with the skills to tackle today's fashion and home goods business landscape. "The feedback we've received from attendees and exhibitors over the last few editions showed us that there was a need for more in-depth information on sustainability, social media and emerging businesses.", said Tricia Carey, Director of Global Business Development Apparel, Lenzing Fibers. "We took this opportunity to curate an informational platform on these topics with consecutive seminars under the "boot camp" theme for more effective learning. Each boot camp session progressively builds on one focused topic, so everyone can learn something."
