WGSN creates an “Experience” by partnering with Home Textiles Sourcing Expo

The 6th edition of Home Textiles Sourcing Expo is being held July 21-23rd, 2015 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. With 120 exhibitors from 9 countries, the Home Textiles Sourcing Expo is one of the largest sourcing events in North America to solely focus on fabrics and finished soft goods for all home applications.

Held annually in July, alongside Texworld USA and the International Apparel Sourcing Show, the tri-located shows create one of the largest fabric sourcing destinations for the North American marketplace.

A favorite visitor highlight during the Home Textiles Sourcing Expo is the complimentary Seminar Series focusing on upcoming trends organized by Lenzing Fibers. The July summer series will focus on the fall 2016 textile, print and graphic trends, sourcing tips/techniques and the shift taking place in the world of retail.

Home Textiles Sourcing Expo is proud to feature new topics and exciting presenters.

“Lenzing is pleased to sponsor the Seminar Series for the Home Textile Sourcing Expo to provide the market with pertinent information on sourcing, trends, sustainability and business development. With the multitude of factors impacting the textile industry there needs to be a platform to provide the latest market information. Home Textile Sourcing Expo provides this platform in the seminar series for the entire supply chain.” remarked Tricia Carey, Director Business Development Apparel – Denim, Lenzing Fibers Inc.

“First and foremost, we would like to give a special thank you to Lenzing Innovation for their continued support and partnership in our seminar program,” says Kristy Meade, Group Show Director, Messe Frankfurt USA. “The seminar program is an invaluable resource for visitors to gain knowledge about the state of the industry, while being provided up-to-date information on color trends, up and coming technology, sustainable sourcing and the return of domestic manufacturing.”

WGSN creates an “Experience”

This year WGSN, a Heimtextil Trend Table member, has partnered with Home Textiles Sourcing Expo to produce a portion of the “Experience” Trend initially seen in the Heimtextil Theme Park in January 2015. WGSN will re-create this visual inspiration by constructing a clear sense of direction of how to use the right prints, patterns and textures to create an elevated experience in any space. WGSN wants visitors to leave the Home Textiles Trend Forum and Seminar by Lisa White, Head of WGSN Lifestyles & Interiors, with a deeper understanding of not only what the trends are, but the how’s and the why’s that got us here. The Lifestyle Factor Seminar is designed to take visitors from the visual presentation in the Trend Forum to discussing the cultural relevant examples, and the consumer moods and shifts that support each of the market trends.

A not to be missed complimentary seminar, The Lifestyle Factor, presented by Lisa White, Head of WGSN Lifestyle & Interiors, will be on Thursday, July 23rd.

The Lifestyle Factor Seminar details include:

The future will be less about what you own and more about how you live: any product’s lifestyle savviness will determine its success in the market. WGSN will announce the key lifestyle factors determining the market in the next two years and will outline the impact they will have on design. Experience Design will be a key factor, from objects and textiles to retail and advertising.
