Increase in Exhibitor Participation

Jul 1, 2013

Home Textiles Sourcing Expo, one of the largest sourcing events in North America to solely focus on sourcing fabrics and finished soft products, has succeeded in increasing exhibitor participation and country pavilions represented on the show floor. The show provides manufacturers, retailers, jobbers, converters, contract specifiers and designers a one stop sourcing venue where they can locate new fabrics and products for their latest collections. The fourth edition will be held July 16 – 18, 2013 at the Javits Convention Center in New York City. The show is co-located with Texworld USA and the International Apparel Sourcing Show.

The show welcomes 166 exhibitors from 9 countries and will feature two country pavilions: Pakistan, returning for the second year in a row, and India, new to the show floor with 11 exhibitors. With a growth of 12 percent, compared to the 2012 edition, Home Textiles Sourcing Expo continues to prove its importance in the home textiles industry. The show is organized by Messe Frankfurt and the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT TEX).

Mr. Xu Yingxin, executive vice chairman of CCPIT TEX says: “In partnership with Messe Frankfurt, we are presenting Home Textiles Sourcing Expo as a sourcing hub for international supply chain network. In addition, we hope the event could be functioning more to promote further cooperation between Chinese manufactures and their American business partners in the aspects of designing, branding, research and development.”
“We are very excited to welcome both our returning and new exhibitors to the Home Textiles Sourcing Expo. Their continued support and participation establishes the show as the must see event for the industry,” states John P. Gallagher, President and CEO of Messe Frankfurt, Inc. “With the increase in exhibitors, along with the two co-located events, we are pleased to offer a sold out show floor to our attendees.”

Another highlight includes the home textiles trend presentation by Global Color Research, one of the world’s leading trend studios for color and design. The trend forum features trends developed for Heimtextil for the 2013/2014 season. The trend area serves as an inspirational platform where exhibitors have the opportunity to display their fabrics and products to potential new buyers.

The Home Textiles Sourcing Expo is again co-located with Texworld USA, the largest apparel fabrics show in North America, and International Apparel Sourcing Show. In July 2012, the three co-located events drew 608 exhibitors and more than 5,200 attendees.
